Objectives

CHP plant in Besançon (FR)

  • Enhance local and regional capacity for the successful development of small-scale and micro-cogeneration projects up to an electrical capacity of 1 megawatt
  • Support the transition of Europe’s energy system towards high-efficiency and low-carbon distributed electricity generation by facilitating the development of a significant number of small-scale and micro cogeneration projects
  • Transfer good practice and know-how between regional and local energy agencies
  • Improve the market for energy services and new energy technologies focussed on small-scale cogeneration
  • Encourage pioneers and accelerate the market penetration of existing and new small-scale cogeneration technologies CHP plant in Frankfurt (DE) -* Improve our understanding of micro-barriers to small-scale cogeneration by analysing specific success factors and barriers
  • Support the implementation of the European Cogeneration, Renewables, Buildings, and En-ergy End-use Efficiency and Energy Services Directives
